How to opt out

There are three ways to opt out:

  1. Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we will automatically treat your visit as an opt-out. Browsers and extensions that support GPC include Brave, Firefox (with the Privacy Badger or DuckDuckGo extension), and others. Learn more at https://globalprivacycontrol.org.
  2. Direct request by email. Email jim@storagetx.net with the subject line “Privacy Opt-Out Request.” Include the email address or other identifier you want associated with the request. We will process your request within 15 business days and confirm by email.
  3. Browser-level opt-outs for the specific tools we use: Google Analytics opt-out: install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Meta (Facebook) ad preferences: manage at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences.

If we deny your request, you have the right to appeal. Reply to our denial email with the subject line “Privacy Appeal” and we will review the appeal within 60 days.

Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written authorization signed by you and may need to verify your identity directly before fulfilling the request.
